THIS IS THE COINTREAU BOTTLE REIMAGINED

COINTREAU L’UNIQUE BOTTLE

THIS IS THE COINTREAU BOTTLE REIMAGINED

Made of two-thirds recycled glass, this new version retains the essentials while honoring modern French elegance, from its label to its shape.

On the aesthetic side, the new Cointreau bottle underlines the product at the heart of the liqueur, the orange, illustrated on the bottle for the first time. Also, Cointreau’s original distillery, depicted both on the label and in the engraving, is a tribute to Cointreau’s roots.

And the bottle sees ergonomic enhancements too: the shape has been lengthened for ease of pouring without increasing its weight.

The new bottle also features a QR code for the first time, which grants instant access to a dedicated online cocktail experience, the go-to source for over 400 drink recipes and cocktail tips.

The redesigned bottle

  • The label

    The label

For the first time in Cointreau’s history, l’orange is given a prime spot on the label. In the background: an illustration inspired by Cointreau’s first distillery. Embossed copper-colored elements are a nod to the copper stills in which Cointreau is made. A rounded archway evoking its emblematic fruit proclaims the Maison’s heritage: ANGERS - 1849 - FRANCE. The quote “Harmonie d’esprit d’écorces d’oranges douces et amères”, highlighting the perfect balance of sweet and bitter orange peels blended into the liqueur.

  • The shape

    The shape

Four millimeters taller to facilitate its grip, but with the same glass weight, the bottle’s elongated shape lends grace to the bottle’s silhouette while making it easier to hold. More prominent edges along each of its four corners add a pleasant solidity and balance that mirror the balanced flavors of Cointreau liqueur, as well as the four ingredients at its source.

  • The sides

    The sides

Raised renderings of the stained-glass windows at the Angers distillery honor the Maison’s history and give the bottle added flair, while improving overall grip.

  • The cap finish

    The cap finish

The bottle’s copper cap—a nod to the copper stills that line the Angers distillery—now comes with a mention of the brand’s savoir-faire as a “Distillateur-Liquoriste” and textured embossed finish inspired by the skin of an orange. The latter is more than just an aesthetic change: the peel-inspired pattern also provides better grip for an easier twist-off.

  • The ribbon

    The ribbon

Historically red, a new orange and copper ribbon pays tribute to the vibrant “golden fruit” at the heart of the liqueur.

  • The medaillon

    The medaillon

1849, the year of Maison Cointreau’s founding, still takes center stage on the copper medallion, surrounded by its place of birth: Angers, France.

  • The materials

    The materials

The new bottle is made from two-thirds recycled glass, which represents a real challenge given the availability of this material in France. Whose emblematic amber color enhances the silhouette of the bottle, and features materials sourced from France and surrounding European countries.
